Awards, Honors and Articles about Brookside Resort

Brookside was featured in Minneapolis Star Tribune's Reader's Guide to Minnesota Resorts in 2012.

"At least 35 years ago, our family and my husband's sister's family would travel two weeks every year to two different locations looking for the perfect resort. When we found Brookside, we quit looking any further. ... Several years ago the grandchildren were old enough and we started back. ... I'm not sure if it is the indoor/outdoor pool, the soda fountain and ice cream counter, the game room, the water activities or just the freedom to run from one event to the other that captivates them. ... They like it better than Mexico."

Mary Ann Johnson, Delano, Minn.

....."Our annual week together is so much more than a simple vacation. It's a special time for out family; a time for us to strengthen our connections and pass traditions on to our children"

Sandy Meyer, Shoreview, Minn.

Brookside Resort and the Keller family were named "Resorters of the Year" for 2003 by the Congress of Minnesota Resorts.

The Congress of Minnesota Resorts (CMR) is a professional organization for resorters. Each year they award one "Resorters of the Year."

Some of the criteria for the Resorter of the Year Award are:
Ability to maintain a successful and progressive resort.
Resort operated for the last three years by present owner/operator.
History of helping and mentoring to other resorters.
Dedication to outside activities beyond resort.
Positive attitude toward resorting and the industry

Brookside was honored in 1994 by Midwest Living Magazine being listed as one of the 50 top midwest resorts.

Family Circle chose Brookside Resort as one of the 5 best cabin resorts in the nation.

Brookside was also included in Jordon Cohen's "Great Vacations With Your Kids"

Needless to say, we are proud of Brookside. Though the resort has been recognized by these publications, the nicest thing about Brookside is her guests. Many return year after year, and help to make new families feel right at home.
