Activities for All Ages
Brookside offers a wide variety of both supervised and unsupervised activities for all members of your family.
Kindernook (ages 2-7)
To ensure that everyone gets a little time to themselves on your family vacation, we provide a supervised children’s activity Monday-Thursday from 9:30-11:30 AM for kids ages 2 through 7.
The program includes a combination of free play, storytelling, nature walks, songs, crafts, and other activities to keep your kids entertained while you enjoy a walk or a lawn chair on the beach. They finish up just in time for lunch and an afternoon of swimming at the pool or lake!
Our Kindernook area is a fenced-in playground with two Rainbow play systems, a playhouse, swings, and a sandbox.
Golf Course & Tennis/Pickleball Courts (all ages)

Free Waterskiing
Create your ultimate summer vacation story by learning how to waterski at Brookside. We have taught thousands of young and older adventurous souls how to waterski. We offer three days of free waterskiing so that by the end of the week you will be a near-professional skier!

Just imagine the ‘bragging rights’ after getting up on waterskis for the first time. We can help with that!
Water Toys & Watercraft Rentals
Our ski boat with a 200 HP motor is available for rent by the hour. The gear, gas, and driver are included.
Other rentals available include a 21” pontoon, waterskis, ropes, and vests.
Brookside has a fleet of watercraft to use during your stay. A 14′ aluminum boat comes with your cabin rental and is FREE for our guests to use anytime during their stay. We also provide paddle boards, canoes, kayaks, fun bugs, a paddle boat, and hydro bikes – as well as life jackets for these toys, all available for our guests to use free of charge during their stay.
For a variety of reasons, we DO NOT ALLOW JET SKIS/PERSONAL WATERCRAFT at Brookside.
Swimming Beach
Brookside’s main beach is beautifully sandy with no sharp drop offs, making it the perfect afternoon location for you and your little ones during your Minnesota vacation. It offers both sun and shade – to accommodate every member of your family from the babies to the grandparents!
Fishing & Boating on Two Inlets Lake
Beautiful Two Inlets Lake is 2.25 miles long and .75 miles wide and approximately 650 acres. This size of the lake is big enough for activities ranging from waterskiing to tubing to paddle boarding, yet intimate enough to feel safe and peaceful.
With a lake depth of up to 60 feet in some areas, the lake structure is great for fishing walleye, northern pike, crappie, bass, and panfish. The water is clean and both guests and lake residents enjoy delicious meals of fresh fish from Two Inlets Lake!
Each of our 29 cabins shares a FREE 32′ dock space with one other cabin. Each dock slip comes with a free 14′ aluminum fishing boat and 6 HP motors are available for rent. We carry live bait and have a modern fish-cleaning house for all of your fishing needs.
Swimming Pool
Our indoor/outdoor swimming pool is surrounded by a gigantic cedar sunning deck. Swimmers and sunbathers of all ages gather here to relax and have fun! Take a closer look at our indoor and outdoor pools – and you can also explore them on our virtual tour!
Brookside's Lodge
The lodge is the central hub of activity at Brookside. It provides activities including a video arcade with a ping-pong table, pool table, pinball, and other arcade games, a play loft for kids of all ages, and our world famous ice cream snack bar (home of the best Chocolate Malt around!) It is also home to our unique indoor/outdoor heated swimming pool and sauna. We welcome you to come and explore our lodge and all it has to offer.
